A senior aviation industry official has announced that Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company (HESA), affiliated to the Defense Ministry, is demonstrating its latest achievements in the aviation industry at the 3rd Persian Gulf International Aviation Exhibition on Kish Island.
According to a press release by the Defense Propagation Office of the Defense Ministry, the companys deputy sales manager, Jafar Zedwar said that the HESA has managed to design and manufacture some 27 percent of the Iran-made airplane, Iran-140, parts, adding that the figure is expected to reach 70 percent in the near future.
Zedwar, who was speaking on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the 3rd International Persian Gulf Aviation Exhibition, said that HESA products, including Iran-140 coastal patrol and military transportation airplanes, Ababil drones, airplane parts, sandwich panel and glass are on display in the event.
“HESA is also able to repair and maintain airplanes, helicopters and hovercrafts at low costs,“ he said.
The 3rd International Persian Gulf Aviation Exhibition began on Kish Island on Tuesday and will continue until December 1.
