According to the company, CEO Hamid Bovard issued the following decree:

“Given your extensive knowledge and valuable experience, and in line with the ministry’s directive on sports strategies in the oil industry, you are hereby appointed as chair and member of the Sports Council of the NIOC.

“It is hoped that, with God’s help and by drawing on the expertise of specialists, you will succeed in achieving the company’s sports objectives and in promoting sports among its employees and their families.”
