TEHRAN – Collecting associated gas produced by Bangestan formation of Lab Sefid oil field has been started.
Managing director of the National Iranian South Oil Company noted that the field produces 18,000 barrels oil per day and also yields 19 million cu. ft. associated gas.
Seifollah Jashnsaz added that the project, which will be conducted through investing 570 billion rials will earn the country more than 62 million dollars per year.
“Once operational, the project will increase the fields crude oil production by 6,000 barrels per day and that of gas liquids by 1,400 barrels a day,” he said.
Jashnsaz noted that gas collection project includes detailed design, procurement of goods, and erecting needed installations and is expected to be finished by the end of the next Iranian calendar year (March 2009).
Lab Sefid oil field is located 40 km northeast of Dezful city in Khuzestan province and is covered by Masjed Soleiman Oil and Gas Production Company.
Masjed Soleiman Oil and Gas Production Company is one of five subsidiaries of the National Iranian South Oil Company, which produced more than 112,000 barrels crude oil per day.
