According to ICOFC, CEO Peyman Imani made the remarks during a visit to the Khartang field development project, the Homa gas compression station, the Tabnak separation center and wells in the Shanul field. He said the round-the-clock efforts of the company’s staff — especially in technical and operational units — as well as timely overhauls enabled the company to once again play a key role in ensuring national security and stability by providing a reliable supply of winter fuel.
He added that the company not only fulfilled its gas production obligations in the first half of the year but also met its storage targets at the Shurijeh and Sarajeh reservoirs. He said the company is pursuing medium- and long-term plans to fully meet its mandated objectives.
The Iranian Central Oil Fields Company produces about 25 percent of the country’s total natural gas output during the winter, giving it a critical and strategic role in ensuring stable seasonal fuel supplies.
