Gas extraction capacity increases at South Pars Phase 14

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of Pars Oil and Gas Company announced the completion of drilling and operation of two wells at South Pars Phase 14, stating that the launch of these wells has increased the phase's rich gas extraction capacity by approximately 4 million cubic meters per day.

According to POGC, Touraj Dehqani, referring to plans to complete the remaining wells in the South Pars 35-month projects, said work on the two wells in this phase began in August. Fortunately, through the efforts of specialists and operational staff, the two wells are now online and have increased production capacity in the South Pars field.

Highlighting the importance of this production increase ahead of the cold season, he emphasized that the full readiness of facilities and production wells in the shared South Pars field plays a key role in ensuring the stable supply of gas for the country in the winter and in managing the energy balance.

The CEO of Pars Oil and Gas Company cited the continuous implementation of completion projects at the production platforms in the shared South Pars field as a company priority. He said efforts are being made to maintain the maximum gas extraction capacity from the shared field and prevent a drop in well pressure to guarantee a stable fuel supply to the country's domestic, industrial, and power plant sectors.
