Lawmaker says fuel reserves in good condition

SHANA (Tehran) – The spokesman for the Iranian Parliament’s Industries and Mines Committee said reports indicate that the country’s fuel reserves are in good condition and that, with public cooperation, Iran will get through the winter with minimal problems.

Mohammad Rostami said during the committee’s Tuesday meeting that members reviewed how to manage the country’s energy imbalance. The session included reports from Keramat Veis-Karami, CEO of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, and Saeid Tavakoli, CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company, on the current status of fuel storage.

Rostami added that the reports showed fuel reserves are in a favorable state and that, with public efforts to conserve energy, the country should face no significant difficulties during the winter.
