According to NISOC, Ebrahim Piramoun made the remarks Sunday, during a meeting on production forecasting for Maroon Oil and Gas Production Company wells. He praised the tireless efforts of the company’s employees and specialists for meeting 100% of production targets under challenging national conditions, particularly during the recent 12-day conflict.
“To sustain production stability, we must increase the rate of overhauls and reduce gas flaring to maintain output levels without decline,” Piramoun said.
He described artificial lift systems as an effective method for enhancing efficiency and sustaining production, noting that “this approach improves oil recovery, extends well life, and contributes to production stability in mature fields. With the adoption of modern technologies, it can also mitigate the environmental impact of extraction operations.”
Piramoun added that recycling wastewater from desalination processes is among the company’s key initiatives to meet environmental and sustainability goals.
Maroon Oil and Gas Company exceeds production targets
Qobad Nasseri, managing director of Maroon Oil and Gas Production Company, announced that the company exceeded 100% of its crude oil production target during the first half of the Iranian year 1404 (March–September 2025).
“This success stems from the dedicated efforts of our workforce and the implementation of maintenance, repair, and development projects,” Nasseri said.
He noted that the net production gain from rehabilitation, repair, and development well operations amounted to 4,100 barrels per day in the same period — “a significant achievement.”
Nasseri also reported that by executing 32 process improvement projects — including construction of a 17-kilometer, 10-inch pipeline; repair and installation of an electric desalter; process optimization; and installation of two electric pumps with transfer capacities of 15,000 and 60,000 barrels per day between Maroon industrial complexes No. 5 and No. 3 — the company prevented a potential production loss of 26,500 barrels per day.
He highlighted another key project in which employees reduced the duration of major maintenance at Maroon Industrial Complex No. 5 by lowering the time needed to empty sludge from the gravity desalter tank from 35 days to just seven — without soil contamination. Using hot oil and water circulation, a special vacuum loader, and updated inspection methods, the company also prevented a daily production loss of 50,000 barrels during the operation, Nasseri said.
