According to the company, Hassan Abbaszadeh said Monday, Sept. 22, during the commission’s first meeting that coordination and engagement between the government and petrochemical firms are key to maintaining stable output and addressing industry challenges, particularly inter-complex disputes.
“We aim to minimize disagreements among petrochemical companies,” he said, adding that with the judiciary’s support, the commission could foster greater convergence in the industry.
Focus on dispute resolution
Mohsen Moqaddas, deputy for arbitration and mediation at the Judiciary’s Dispute Resolution Center, underscored the importance of structured dispute management during the meeting.
He said the deputy office works to expand professional arbitration and organize dispute resolution in line with directives from the Supreme Leader and the judiciary chief.
“Efforts are underway to ensure disputes are addressed in specialized working groups and committees,” Moqaddas said. “In petrochemicals and other industries, the Commission for Arbitration Development will review conflicts to help resolve them.”
He added that having experienced and specialized members on the working groups ensures decisions are made with a full understanding of the issues at hand.
The inaugural meeting of the Commission for Arbitration Development in the petrochemical industry was held to draft bylaws and regulations for resolving disputes among petrochemical companies.
