During a meeting with Rashid Meredov, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Pezeshkian emphasized Iran’s desire to deepen ties and expand cooperation with its neighbors, particularly Turkmenistan, in various fields.
“The construction of the Iran-Turkmenistan gas pipeline should be designed and implemented in a way that allows gas transit for all three purposes,” he said.
Pezeshkian added that beyond gas exchange, Iran seeks to strengthen relations with Turkmenistan in economic, cultural, investment, transportation, transit and other sectors.
“Deepening cooperation, especially in joint and mutual investments, can ensure prosperity, stability, friendship and security for both nations—an objective aligned with the Turkmen national leader’s initiative to hold the International Conference of Peace and Trust,” he said.
