Mohammadreza Joulaei, speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for the acid gas sales project on Monday, said the initiative will not only advance the green industry but also diversify Bid Boland Refinery’s operations, playing a crucial role in balancing the country’s energy supply and demand.
Emphasizing the need for private sector collaboration in energy infrastructure projects, he added that this effort will significantly help tackle Iran’s energy imbalance, particularly during colder months, requiring coordination, precision, and synergy across all operational levels.
Acid gas sales project: A major step in green industry development
Ali-Mohammad Pourreza, CEO of Bid Boland Gas Refining Company, noted that the acid gas sales project for the amine units marks an important phase in green industry development.
He stated that the project will optimize processes, reduce environmental pollution, and boost economic efficiency. Given environmental challenges and the need for advanced technologies, such initiatives play a vital role in improving air quality, optimizing energy resources, reducing energy imbalance, eliminating flare gas, and creating local jobs.
Mohammad-Javad Ashrafi, director-general of Khuzestan Province’s Environmental Protection Agency, said Bid Boland Gas Refining Company, as an environmentally conscious entity, is making a significant contribution to environmental and public health in Khuzestan. In addition to producing 40 million cubic meters of gas annually, the project will help alleviate energy imbalance.
