Speaking at the device’s inauguration ceremony on Thursday, Tavakoli praised the project as hopeful milestone despite challenges. "Executing such a project for the first time in Iran demonstrates our industry’s progress, and I sincerely thank all those who made it possible," he said.
The device, developed by Hormuzgan Gas Company experts, measures and controls odorant levels in gas distribution networks—a critical safety feature, as odorants help detect leaks. "Today is a proud day—our team successfully built this ‘Odorizer Monitor,’ which directly impacts public safety," Tavakoli noted.
Key Features:
- Detects five different odorant types
- Designed for future standardization and commercialization
- Operates online, with potential for remote pipeline monitoring
Laser-based technology
(unlike catalytic analyzers with expiration dates)
- Long lifespan, reducing maintenance costs
Tavakoli emphasized plans for nationwide deployment, calling it a "valuable achievement" for Iran’s gas sector.
"We aim to expand its use across the country and continue advancing our industry."
