Abbas Araghchi, in a phone call Monday evening with Fuad Hussein, Iraq’s foreign minister, discussed the US’s illegal sanctions on Iran’s oil sector. 
Araghchi stated, “The claims and accusations made by US officials to pressure Iran are completely baseless.” 
He urged neighboring and friendly countries to remain vigilant against US attempts to sow discord, which he said are solely intended to undermine friendly relations among regional nations and align with the malicious goals of the Zionist regime.  

Fuad Hussein, in the same call, expressed deep concern over recent developments in the region. He stressed the need for regional cooperation to alleviate the suffering of the oppressed Palestinian people and to safeguard peace and stability across the region.
