This price adjustment is based on a resolution by the Parliament and is part of the implementation of the country’s national budget law.
Following an order from the Vice President and Head of the Plan and Budget Organization, the new jet fuel (ATK) rate takes effect at the start of the new Iranian year for domestic passenger airlines. As per the resolution, the selling price of jet fuel has been set at 30% of the refinery purchase price.
The daily consumption of jet fuel in the country is estimated at an average of 4 million liters. Currently, 58 aviation fuel centers are operational across the country, responsible for supplying fuel to airlines.
