Saeid Tavakoli, speaking at the launch ceremony on Sunday attended by senior managers and project stakeholders, congratulated the team on the completion of the project, which involved a large number of experts, managers, and various operational and support departments. He praised the collaborative effort that brought the project to fruition.
Tavakoli stated that the implementation of this project marks the beginning of a new journey, as the data center will serve as a valuable hardware and software infrastructure for leveraging more accurate and faster data analysis.
The CEO of the NIGC stressed that in today’s era, analysis and decision-making based on accurate information are essential. He added that maintaining the company’s leading position depends on enhancing coordination in information technology and accessing reliable, timely, and credible data, coupled with rapid and precise analysis.
Tavakoli noted that significant measures have already been taken by the National Iranian Gas Company in this regard. He emphasized that moving forward, the focus should not solely be on hardware but also on utilizing intangible assets that are often underused. This, he said, should be a priority for the team to maximize the potential of the infrastructure.
According to Tavakoli, this approach will transform data and information into real, key performance indicators, leading to better decision-making. Without this, he warned, the cycle will remain incomplete.
The deputy oil minister also highlighted the need to maximize the use of system capacities by customers. He stated that raising awareness about underutilized system capabilities can significantly enhance their efficiency.
Tavakoli expressed hope that the data center, through its precise analyses, will also play a crucial role in improving gas imbalance management. He added that the project is a key step in transforming the National Iranian Gas Company into a smart organization.
