Hassan Abbaszadeh, speaking during a visit to the Petronad Petrochemical Park on Wednesday, praised the park for effectively advancing the production of high-value-added products.
He noted that NPC management and the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone Organization are prepared to back efforts aimed at completing the value chain and reducing raw material exports.
Abbaszadeh, who also serves as deputy oil minister, highlighted that some projects, though smaller in scale compared to major petrochemical initiatives, are valuable as they produce essential and practical products. He stressed the importance of supporting such projects.
He added that development policies and programs should focus on producing final products and advancing value chain integration. Balanced development within the industry must be prioritized, he said.
Abbaszadeh urged Petronad Petrochemical Park managers to address existing challenges and seriously pursue their development plans. He noted that stakeholders in the park, which aims to meet the needs of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, can achieve their goals through comprehensive and precise planning.
The NPC CEO emphasized that entering the pharmaceutical industry, given domestic demand, offers significant value creation opportunities. Products can not only meet local needs but also be exported, making Petronad’s entry into this field a successful example of value chain completion.
