Ahmad Hashemi stated that the primary objective of the overhaul was to prepare the units for continuous and reliable production of petroleum products.
"During this process, all equipment, including towers, heat exchangers, pipelines, pumps, compressors, electrical systems, instrumentation, and furnaces, were inspected and repaired," he explained.
Highlighting the importance of safety and accident-free operations, Hashemi expressed appreciation for the efforts of 1,000 refinery staff and 600 temporary workers involved in the project.
He emphasized the critical role of teamwork, collective decision-making, continuous monitoring, and round-the-clock operations in the success of the project.
"This overhaul marks the first major maintenance of the viscosity reduction unit in 10 years, achieved through coordinated efforts and effective management by the refinery’s staff," he noted.
Hashemi added that the maintenance was carried out in compliance with technical, safety, health, and environmental standards and according to a precise schedule.
