Global Media Cover Petroleum Minister Visit to Persian Gulf

SHANA (Tehran) - Iranian Minister of Petroleum Mohsen Paknejad started a tour on Saturday to visit Iran's main oil and gas facilities in the Persian Gulf region.

This visit comes at a time when the Zionist regime has threatened that it may attack Iran and there are speculations that Iran's oil and gas facilities could be a target.

The minister of petroleum's tour included visiting Pars Special Energy Zone including Assaluyeh, known as Iran's energy capital as well as Kharg Island, Iran's most important oil export terminal in the Persian Gulf.

During his visit, Paknejad held talks with the managers and oil industry workers and expressed his gratitude for the efforts of the operational regions' workforce who relentlessly try to supply the country with the natural gas and crude oil they produce from the oil and gas fields in the Persian Gulf.

Furthermore, on Saturday the minister of petroleum flew to Forouzan oil fields, 100 km away from Kharg Island in the Persian Gulf waters to meet Iranian oil industry workers stationed on the shared oil field's platform where he was briefed about the development plan of the oil field and boosting oil production as well.
