Speaking with Shana correspondent, the NIGC official said that over the three past years, NIGC has been able to increase gas processing capacity by 50 million cubic meters per day, mainly due to reducing the duration of equipment and rotative machines repairs.
He added: while at the beginning of the 13th administration in mid-2021, 30 million cubic meters of gas had remained idle on platforms on a daily basis, but the NIGC could overcome the problem and redirect it to the production cycle which led to 5.5 billion dollars of revenue last year.
Referring to the NIGC programs on reducing burning gases by gas flares, he said that over the next month, nearly 850 million cubic of gases burnt by flares will be contained for distribution through the gas supply network.
Hw further said that NIGC ranks first in view of first-time production activities, which helped the oil industry to thwart sanctions successfully.
