The text of the oil minister’s New Year message is as follows:

O Transformer of hearts and sights,

O Manager of nights and days,

O Transformer of situations and circumstances,

Transform our circumstances to the best of circumstances

We start the year with “O Transformer of hearts and sights”, a year coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan, which polishes all hearts, and end it with a wish for “the best circumstances”.

Last year was full of developments and honors for the big family of the oil industry, an industry which registered numerous achievements in its impressive record made through applying knowledge of experts and scientific and technical power of knowledge-based companies.

Increase in oil production and export amid sanctions, records set by the oil and gas group which registered the highest growth among other sectors of the national economy, extraction of gas from Phase 11 of the South Pars field, inauguration of gas supply projects, start of production in Sepehr and Jofeir oil fields, contracts on pressure-boosting project in the South Pars gas field, and big contracts with domestic contractors on development of oil fields in March, the month reminding the nationalization of Iran’s oil industry, were all made possible through unsparing efforts of noble employees of the oil industry, shining like a gem in the history of Iran.

In this regard, the invaluable role the promotion of energy diplomacy under the 13th administration is worth mentioning, as it helped the country sign important memorandums of understanding and contracts, whose vital role in boosting production will emerge soon.

It is clear to all that the aforementioned achievements are just a part of thousands of fruits reaped through hard work of dear men and women engaged in the strategic oil industry.

I extend my appreciation to you for all these priceless efforts and congratulate you on the auspicious occasion of the New Year and the holy month of Ramadan and spring of Qur’an.

I wish all the dedicated employees of the oil industry would grasp the opportunity to benefit the blessings of the holy month of Ramadan, and would also enjoy health, success, and happiness.
