Iran’s VP lauds knowledge-based firms-Oil Ministry interaction, says Tajikistan keen on cooperation

SHANA (Tehran) – Iran’s Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy Rouhollah Dehqani Firouzabadi on Wednesday hailed the appropriate interaction between knowledge-based companies and the Oil Ministry.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the weekly cabinet session, he referred to a 500-million-dollar contract signed by the knowledge-based firms and the ministry, expressing his satisfaction with their desirable interaction in different areas, including the oil and gas industry and recently equipment, productivity, optimization, and value chain fields.

Shifting to a recent visit paid by Chairman of Tajikistan’s National Assembly and Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali to Iran’s Exhibition of Innovation and Technology, the VP said the top Tajik official was stunned by Iran’s progress and called for bilateral cooperation.

The visiting speaker said Tajikistan will hold a meeting for knowledge-based companies working in the fields of agriculture, health, and mine within the two months, Dehqani Firouzabadi continued.

Iran’s Presidential Department of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy and Dushanbe Municipality signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to set up Iran-Tajikistan Innovation Center.
