President says fundamental work has started to redress energy imbalance

SHANA (Tehran) – Iran’s president on Saturday said his government has started fundamental work to redress energy imbalance in the country.

Addressing the 27th Industry and Mine Conference, Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi added the industries are taking steps toward generating 10,000 megawatts that help redress the imbalance between electricity production and consumption.

The president said energy management, including time and consumption management, and also optimization of energy consumption are among strategies to solve the country’s economic problems.

Raeisi expressed his gratitude to industrialists and miners for their efforts, which have led to the economic growth since the autumn 2021, as they paid due heed to the guidelines of Leader Seyyed Ayatollah Khamenei.
