Iran’s IIES says meetings planned with Russian institution to develop oil cooperation roadmap ‎

SHANA (Tehran) – Iran's Institute of International Energy Studies (IIES) and the Roscongress Foundation ‎will hold three expert meetings on Wednesday to take the first step of conducting joint research and ‎studies for drawing up a roadmap for expanding oil cooperation between the two countries in line with ‎their common interests.‎

IIES President Mohammad-Sadeq Jokar made the remarks on Tuesday, elaborating on the expert meetings, ‎which will be held on the first day of the of the 27th Iran International Oil, Gas, ‎Refining and ‎Petrochemical ‎Exhibition (Iran Oil Show 2023) in the Iranian capital Tehran. ‎

He added the meetings will also serve as a step toward doing joint studies, research and planning in the ‎future. ‎

Jokar said Iran and Russia have adopted convergence-oriented approaches at their high decision-making ‎levels, which are evident in their willingness and determination for enhancing their bilateral cooperation.‎

He urged that this willingness and determination should be turned into practical cooperation plans and ‎programs. ‎

Jokar noted that during their three meetings on Wednesday, efforts will be made to establish connections ‎between the think tanks and research centers of the IIES and Roscongress Foundation and prepare the ‎ground for developing action plans and programs for cooperation between Iran and Russia.‎

The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major ‎organizer of nationwide and international conventions, exhibitions, and business, public, youth, sporting, ‎and cultural events. ‎

The 27th edition of Iran Oil Show 2023, which kicked off on Wednesday, will be open to visitors until ‎Saturday. ‎
