Preventing Sale of Iran Oil by Enemies Failed: Representative

TEHRAN (Shana) -- A member of the Expediency Council and representative of the Supreme Leader in the Supreme National Security Council said: “The enemies announced that you cannot sell oil, but given the budget bill 1401 and 1402 and the amount of oil announced in it, we can sell it, and the budget is adjusted based on that.”

Saeed Jalili appeared in a special news interview on Sunday evening and stated that enemies announced that they were seeking maximum pressure on Iran and they applied this maximum pressure, saying: “The enemies put all these pressures, they said that we would not allow Iran to sell even one barrel of oil. They stated this issue in the last three or four years, but what was the result?”

He added: "It was around this time last year that not a journalist or writer, but American officials said that the maximum pressure has failed miserably. It is not my claim to analyze and say that they failed, this was exactly what they said.”

The member of the Expediency Council stated: “Enemies announced that you cannot sell oil, but given the budget bill 1401 and 1402 and the amount of oil announced in it, we can sell, and the budget is planned based on that is clear.”

Jalili said: “These are the statements that they themselves expressed, it is not for us to come and analyze and say that they failed, they stated this matter. They said that you should not sell even one barrel of oil, today the world sees our budget, the budget of 1401 and 1402 is also clear, how much oil we sell and at what price.”
