Reviving Low-yield Oil Wells Revives Capital in Iran: MP

TEHRAN (Shana) -- Tehran's representative in the Iranian parliament underlined the need for youth participation in different parts of the country, emphasizing the need to link the oil industry with scientific societies.

“The recent action of the Ministry of Petroleum to revive low-yield and inactive wells will revive the country's capital, said Mustafa Mirsalim on Tuesday in the ceremony of the implementation of the first contract for revitalization of low-yield and inactive wells of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) to knowledge-based companies at the specialized conference center of NIOC.

Stating that all the country's industries are important, he clarified: “Of course, 70% of the industry is summed up in oil and gas, and we should know its importance and work for it.”

The representative of Tehran in the parliament considered the existence of oil and gas industries as a fundamental advantage, and added: “Many of our industries have followed the example of this industry and this modeling should continue in the future.”
