Iran Boosts Gas Output by 6.5 mcm/d

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The CEO of Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company stated in recent days, with the initiatives that were taken, “we managed to add 6.5 million cubic meters per day to the country's gas output.”

According to Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company, Mehrdad Kahkesh appreciated the round-the-clock efforts of the oil industry employees, and said: “The employees of Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company were working around the clock in the past days to maximize gas production of the company.”

He added: "In recent days, with the initiatives that were carried out, we managed to add 6.5 million cubic meters per day to gas production, and now the production increase of this company has reached 27.8 mcm per day."

The CEO of Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company, pointing out that part of the gas needed by the country is extracted from the gas fields of Gachsaran Oil and Gas Company, added: “After processing in the gas and liquefied gas complex 900, this gas is sent to Bidboland Refinery. Finally, it is injected into the country's gas network.”

Kahkesh announced the Paznan gas field as one of the largest dome gas fields in the Middle East and the country's gas supply source, and continued: “There are 15 wells in this field, after recovery, the gas from this field is sent to the gas and liquefied gas factory for processing.”
