High-Pressure Gas Network Stable in North, Northeast of Iran

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The Dispatching Director of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) announced that the high-pressure gas network in the north and northeast of Iran is now stable.

Mohammad Reza Joulai said today (Sunday, January 15) in a telephone conversation with Islamic Republic of Iran News Network: “The country's gas network is stable, but in the north and northeast of the country, gas consumption is high and does not meet the needs of the region. With the measures taken, the high-pressure network is stable, but we have a slight pressure drop at some endpoints.”

He added: “In the southern regions of Razavi Khorasan and South Khorasan, such as the cities of Torbat Jam, Tabas and Birjand, which are in the main offshoots, the effort to maintain the network continues, and our colleagues are working to restore gas or replace liquid fuel.”

The Dispatching Director of NIGC emphasized: “Now the amount of gas transfer is maximum and according to the needs of each city and region, the gas pressure is controlled by the dispatching directorate of NIGC.”
