During a visit to the Azar oil field and reviewing the progress of the project in the facilities of the central processing unit and the wellhead facility of the project, Mehdi Heydari announced the project’s delivery to the West Oil and Gas Production Company in the near future.
According to ICOFC, the official said the project would be handed over to the operating company within the next few days, adding: “More than 50% of the process of its delivery to the ICOFC has been completed and in the coming days, we will witness its complete delivery.”
Stating that the production of this field has high-quality oil, he clarified: “With the efforts made, more than 33,000 barrels per day will be produced from this field.”
Referring to the role of this field in creating jobs in Ilam Province, the ICOFC CEO stated: “This field and its development plan that will begin in the future will play a significant role in attracting local and national capable and expert forces, as well as the forces working in this region.”
The joint Azar oil field located in Ilam province, western Iran, has been put into operation with investment from domestic resources and using the specialized power of oil industry companies.
