11,000-ton Growth in Sulfur Output of Hasheminejad Refinery

TEHRAN (Shana) -- Shahid Hasheminejad Refinery has enhanced its sulfur output by 11,000 per year by launching the knowledge-based acid gas concentration project.

In November, we witnessed the flourishing of another plan in the country's gas industry; unit No. 1 of the Acid Gas Condensation Project of Shahid Hasheminejad Gas Refinery was launched and the executive operation of Unit No. 2 of this project started.

Majid Chegeni, the CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), explained in a report to Javad Owji, the Minister of Petroleum: “With the opening of the knowledge-based concentration project, Shahid Hasheminejad Gas Refining Company, while enjoying a fixed income and an annual forecast of about 210 and 1300 billion rials, respectively, in order to protect the environment as a serious mission and the first priority of the social responsibility of NIGC, has realized reducing emissions as follows: 21,000 tons of SO2, 22,000 tons of CO2 and curbing production of catalytic waste by 110 tons.”
