19% Y/Y Rise in 5-Month Iran Gas Exports

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The deputy petroleum minister for gas affairs announced that Iran's gas exports have increased by 19% in the first 5 months of the current calendar year, which began on March 21 compared to the same period last year.

According to National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), Majid Chegeni said: “In the first five months of this year, this amount was an average of 70 million cubic meters per day, which is a 19% increase compared to the same period last year which was 59 mcm/d.”

Stating that gas exports to Iraq experienced a 20% growth in the calendars year of 1400, he announced an increase in gas exports to Turkey this year.

The NIGC CEO stated: “With proper and effective cooperation, the collection of claims of NIGC from exports is about $1.6 billion and has brought us an increase of about 64% of the gas export revenues.”
