$600m Petchem Value Chain Completion Projects underway under way in Petrol

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The CEO of Petrol said $600 million projects are being implemented by the company in order to complete the value chain of the petrochemical industry.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, Rashid Qanei said that once 4 projects of the company come online by the next 18 months, 360,000 tons and nearly $700 million will be added to its production and income respectively.

“Petrol has three petrochemical production companies in Urmia, Ilam and Lordegan and eight production projects, of which the petrochemical projects of Sadaf, Armand Lordegan and Arghavan Gostar of Ilam have made more progress than the other projects,” he said.

Regarding Urmia Petrochemical Plant, which has a diverse mix of products and in addition to exports, provides domestic needs, he added: "Polyaluminum Chloride unit was defined in the past to be implemented in Urmia Petrochemical Plant using the byproduct of hydrochloric acid in this complex, and the problem was funding that has now been resolved.”
