NISOC Production Capacity to hit Pre-Sanctions Levels: CEO

KHUZESTAN (SHANA)-- The CEO of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) said that one of the serious plans of the company has been to restore the oil production capacity to the pre-sanctions era, adding: "We are proud to announce that the oil production capacity has returned to the pre-sanctions level."

Speaking on Friday morning in a ceremony held in the presence of Iranian Petroleum Ministry officials, Alireza Danshi honored the names and memory of the great martyrs, and added: “The crude oil production capacity of NISOC will reach 3 million barrels per day by the end of this calendar year, and in the next five years, the daily production capacity will be 3.28 mbd.”

Stating that a bright future awaits Iran's oil industry, he said: “In addition to increasing production capacity, great steps have been taken in the field of social responsibility in Ahvaz and Khuzestan.”

The NISOC CEO stated: “Considering the Supreme Leader's emphasis on knowledge-based production, research and technology activities have tripled over the same period, and higher goals have been considered.”
