Capacity of Frequency Bands Radio Systems Up 25 Times in South Zagros Fields

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The capacity of the radio links of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) increased by 25 times with the efforts of the company's telecommunication department in South Zagros fields in Fars, Bandar Abbas and Bushehr provinces.

According to ICOFC, Ahmad Rajabi, production manager of the company, said: “Upgrading the capacity of radio systems with the aim of accessing all communication facilities, including internal network information, video conferencing and the possibility of sending images, high-speed surveillance cameras have been installed in the operational areas of Parsian, Nar and Kangan, Dalan, Bandar Abbas and Shiraz headquarters.”

Referring to the capacity of the old links, which were only used for transferring telephone lines, he added: “With the planned arrangements, the capacity of the old links, which used to be about 8 to 16 megabytes per second, has now reached about 100 to 430 megabytes per second."
