Following the meeting of the Parliamentary Energy Committee with Iranian Minister of Petroleum Javad Owji on Tuesday, Fereydoun Hassanvand told reporters: "Energy diplomacy was one of the most important priorities from the beginning of the 11th parliament and the 13th administration, because In addition to the President, the Speaker and members of the Energy Committee paid special attention to this issue. Fortunately, despite US sanctions and intensification of actions against Iran, our energy diplomacy in Central Asia, Russia, the Persian Gulf and the East and West is well ahead. It is going on and so far memorandums and constructive agreements have been signed.”
He added: "The next step was Latin America, as the backyard of the United States, in which important agreements were signed with Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua, and it must be said that the long-standing dream of an offshore refinery is coming true for Iran."
