Refinery Saves 210 mcm gas by Preventing Flaring

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The CEO of Martyr Hasheminejad Gas Refining Company announced that the plant has saved about 210 million cubic meters of gas from the recovery of flare gases over the last five years.

According to the National Iranian Gas Company, Yahya Feizi said: “Martyr Hasheminejad Gas Refining Company has put on its agenda recovery of flared gas in line with the implementation of Article 48 of the Sixth Development Plan Law and in order to achieve its strategic goals and so far saved around 210 million cubic meters of gas.”

He said that with the completion of two phases of the project in the calendar year of 1399 which ended on March 20 2020, the gas sent to the flare stacks had reached more than 26 million cubic meters, which in the year 1400 with the optimal management of leaks and on the eve of the third phase of the project, was reduced to 19 million cubic meters.

The CEO of Martyr Hasheminejad Gas Refining Company stated that the company has taken effective steps to reduce energy efficiency and reduce the emission of environmental pollutants.
