Expansion of NIOC-Gazprom Cooperation on Agenda

TEHRAN (Shana) – Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Mohsen Khojasteh-Mehr put great emphasis on the promotion of cooperation between his country and Russia in the energy sector.

According to NIOC, Khojasteh-Mehr held talks with top officials of Russian energy giant Gazprom on the sidelines of the 26th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition, dubbed Iran Oil Show 2022.

The two sides discussed their cooperation in different areas, agreeing to hold more meetings.

Iran Oil Show 2022 kicked off during an opening ceremony at Tehran’s Permanent Fairground on Friday and will run until Monday, May 16.

The four-day exhibition is host to 1,200 Iranian and 44 foreign companies or their agents.

Apart from domestic participants representing Iran, foreign companies from Italy, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Switzerland, Germany, Ukraine, South Africa, and Belgium have taken part in the international exhibition.
