600k Barrels Growth in Output of Southern Fields under Raisi

TEHRAN (Shana) – The CEO of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) said the fields operated by the company have witnessed a 600,000-barrel/day growth in their output under the Raisi administration.

According to IRNA, Alireza Daneshi, emphasizing that when he was appointed as the CEO of the company under the new administration around 8 months ago, conditions were not favorable and oil production was at the minimum and only fed the country’s refineries.

He continued by stating that according to the request of the 13th administration, we have modified the mandatory oil production plan and with the implementation of this plan, oil production in this company has increased by 600,000 barrels per day since the establishment of the 13th administration.

"Whenever the administration instructs, we can quickly return to the pre-sanctions production levels; we have seen a decline in downhole activities over the past 15 years, but now the situation is favorable and although the problems have not been completely resolved, the situation is improving,” the NISOC CEO went on to add.
