Future of Iran in Energy Market Hinged on Understanding Trends

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The caretaker of the Institute for International Energy Studies (IIES), stating that the purpose of IIES is to become a think tank, stressed that the future of Iran in the energy market requires an understanding of trends.

Mohammad Sadegh Jokar said today (Wednesday, March 9) at the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of Iran Gas House: "Currently, the Institute of International Energy Studies ranks 143 out of more than 11,000 global think tanks in various fields."

Stating that the world today is a world of ideas in the field of energy, he added: "Strategic analysis of the field of energy has features that cannot be analyzed without a think tank."

The IIES caretaker stated: "This field is very multidisciplinary in terms of epistemology, in which only think tanks have the ability to address the issues raised in it."

Jokar continued: "Our goal is for IIES to move towards being a think tank, that is, to do things in accordance with the implementation environment.”
