Iran to Export Energy Services to Europe

TEHRAN (Shana) -- Iranian Gas Engineering and Development Company (IGEDC) has signed a memorandum of understanding with a European company for engineering services and construction of gas transmission lines, gas pressure boosting facilities and development of gas storage tanks.

According to the memorandum of understanding signed between Reza Noshadi, the CEO of IGEDC, and the CEO of the European company, IGEDC has been tasked with providing the necessary cooperation with the company in the field of engineering services and construction of gas transmission lines, gas pressure boosting facilities and development of gas storage tanks.

Referring to the bilateral talks held in the presence of the representative of the International Affairs Department of the National Iranian Gas Company, Noshadi stated that the purpose of signing this document was to study joint investment opportunities and cooperation in various fields such as feasibility of construction of refineries, power plants and gas pipelines.

This memorandum was signed in order to exchange technical knowhow, expertise and experiences of the two sides in the fields of joint work and to establish a working group with representatives of the Iranian and European parties.

He added: "As previously announced in the signing of the contract for Shurijeh D field, IGEDC has aimed to conquer the high peaks, and today, after achieving success in developing the country's gas distribution and transmission network, the company is determined to expand its capabilities and relations beyond the borders of the country.”
