Speaking on Tuesday, Ali Bahadori Jahromi told a press conference about the gasoline project that is to be implemented in Kish and Qeshm islands, said: "Currently, those who have several cars, receive petrol subsidies many times more than those who have one car, which is an unfair distribution system.”
He added: "The thirteenth government is not a person of overnight decisions and a person of bitter news on Friday morning. This is a people's government, not a security one. This bitter legacy should not be attributed to the new government, because the government has no plans to increase the price of gasoline.”
A government spokesman noted: "This plan is to make the distribution system more equitable. Therefore, the pilot project of supplying gasoline at the same rate will be implemented in two islands (Kish and Qeshm) and then its implementation will proceed at the national level using the experiences of the pilot period.”
