New AOGC Caretaker Appointed

TEHRAN (Shana) – The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) issued a decree to appoint Abdullah Azari as the caretaker of Arvandan Oil and Gas Company (AOGC).

Mohsen Khojastehmehr's decree to Abdullah Azari was issued on Monday evening.

"Considering your commitment, expertise and valuable experiences, you are hereby appointed as the" Caretaker of Arvandan Oil and Gas Company,” read the decree.

Upgrading the development and operational capacity of the company and guiding and supervising the performance of the affiliated operational districts, compensating for the decline in oil production capacity by implementing prioritized and half-finished plans and projects for production development and maintenance, diligently implementing the approved plans to increase the extraction and injection of gas in order to protect the reservoirs and timely implementation of renovation plans and optimal repairs of fixed and rotating facilities and equipment are among the tasks Mr. Khojastehmehr has entrusted Mr. Mehdizadeh with in his new position.

Abdullah Azari Ahvazi was born in Ahvaz, southwestern Iran, and has a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and a master's degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Petroleum Industry and a Master of Business Administration degree.

During his 32 years at the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), he held various positions, including Deputy Director of Technical Affairs (Chemical Studies and Oil and Gas Quality Control Laboratories), Master of Intelligent Technical Inspection, Technical Affairs Management, Corrosion Engineering, and NISOC’s chief design and development engineer, as well as the head of metal corrosion for the Aghajari Oil and Gas Exploitation Company.
