According to NPC, the company’s director of investment, Shahram Rezaei, emphasized supporting and expanding domestic technological platforms in the development of the petrochemical industry, adding 35 million tons of final products are produced in the petrochemical industry for consumption in downstream industries and exports.

"Reducing imports by increasing domestic production needed by downstream industries in the country is a special strategy,” he said.

Rezaei added: "Knowledge-based companies can play an important role in the future of Iran's petrochemical industry, and the Knowledge-Based Business Development Office is ready to cooperate with those interested in participating in the petrochemical industry."
