Iran to Export 1st Oil Shipment from Jask on July 22

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) said loading and export operation of the first shipment of Iranian crude oil from Jask and the Sea of ​​Oman will be carried out on July 22 by the presidential order.

According to the National Iranian Oil Company, Massoud Karbasian noted that it is a great honor for the huge oil industry to be able to have a large and national crude oil transfer project in a year decorated with the slogan "Production, Support and Barriers Removal" from Goreh to Jask to be put into operation and the first shipment of crude oil to be loaded and exported from the Sea of Oman and Jask.

“In addition to diversifying the country's export terminals and developing the Makran region, this project will lead to more prosperity, production and economic activities in this region, which will be achieved in the near future with the construction of new refineries and petrochemical plants,” he said.

He stated that this project has been started and completed with the efforts of valuable partners in the oil industry and has reached the operation stage, adding 250 Iranian contractors and domestic producers have participated in this plan.

“In this project, jobs were created for 5,000 people directly and 10,000 others indirectly and fortunately, in less time than originally estimated, it has become ready to be exploited using domestic resources, participation bonds and other resources, despite the harsh conditions of sanctions and the coronavirus pandemic,” he added.
