According to Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC), Alireza Sedighizadeh said: "Karoon Petrochemical Plant, according to its feedstock and products, has a different type of pollution than other petrochemical plants. The initial design of the plant is such that due to such pollution, arrangements have been made in the field of environmental standards, and if the complex operates in accordance with the standards, it should not have any pollution in the three elements of water, soil and air.”
"Online analyzers are installed on the chimneys, which are under special operation control and with their sensitivity, they stop the unit completely as soon as they cannot feel the gas," he said of the initial design standards for air pollution prevention in the facility.
