Jask Oil Terminal ready to Export Oil

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The CEO of Pars Oil and Gas Company said that construction of Jask Oil Terminal has made 98% progress, voicing the terminal’s readiness to to receive, transfer and load crude oil through its single buoy mooring (SBM).

According to Pars Oil and Gas Company, Mohammad Meshkinfam, speaking on the sidelines of a visit to the construction stages of the Jask oil terminal project, assessed the progress of the project in the onshore and offshore sectors as desirable, and noted: “Due to POGC’s experience and expertise in offshore projects, construction of this oil terminal was entrusted to Pars Oil and Gas Company, and fortunately, with the tireless efforts of my colleagues, this project has made considerable progress.”

Referring to the efforts made and the process of the project, he said: "By exploiting the first phase of this export terminal as the last link in the strategic plan for the transfer of crude oil from Goreh to Jask in June this year, Iran has achieved a special position outside the Persian Gulf and can now export oil from the Oman Sea for the first time with the aim of reducing dependence on the Strait of Hormuz and making it easier for foreign customers to access its oil shipments.”

The CEO of Pars Oil and Gas Company, referring to sending crude oil from Goreh to Jask by the National Iranian Oil Company in recent days, stated: "According to the plans, from now on we are ready for receiving, transporting and loading crude oil by export tankers from the coast of Makran.”
