1st SPM Loaded for Jask Oil Terminal

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The head of Jask Oil Terminal Project said the single point mooring, submarine multi-lane and the accessories of the early commissioning section of Jask Oil Terminal Project were loaded in Khorramshahr Industrial Yard.

Vahid Maleki said the SPM was built by the Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company and its loading was successfully completed.

He also said that the structure would be installed at its offshore spot in a few days.

Maleki announced the transfer capacity of crude oil and gas condensate of the SPM at 7,000 cubic meters per hour (equivalent to one million barrels per day), and added: "Soon with the installation of this offshore structure at a distance of approximately 6 km from Makran Coast, the early commissioning section of the Jask oil terminal will be put into operation and it will be possible to berth oil tankers at this terminal.”

According to the official, the structure and its accessories weighed 800 tons which would be installed at the 48-meter depth of water.

Maleki further said that pipeline operation of the second submarine line of Jask Oil Terminal Project had begun, adding with favorable weather conditions, the shore pulling operation of the project would be complete by the end of next week.
