Let's Wait a Few Days

KHUZESTAN (Shan) -- In response to whether the sale of Iranian oil will be facilitated with the beginning of Joe Biden's presidency, Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh said: "Let's wait a few days to see what happens."

Speaking on the sidelines of the official inauguration of Bidboland Persian Gulf Gas Refinery, Mr. Zangeneh said: “Bidboland Persian Gulf Refinery is one of the largest feedstock supply projects.”

He announced construction of a mini-refinery with a daily refining capacity of 15,000 barrels for gasoline production and a PDH unit (propylene production project through propane) with an annual production capacity of 450,000 tons, following the Bidboland Persian Gulf Refinery, adding good preparations have been made and by March 2023 no gas will be flared in Iran.

Asked if Iran could easily sell its crude oil to world markets when Joe Biden takes office as the new president of the United States, the Iranian Petroleum Minister said: "Let's wait and see what happens."
