Forging 16-inch Pipes Begins at ICOFC

TEHRAN (Shana) – The Iranian Central Oil Fields Company has started forging 16-inch pipes to transfer sour gas from Dehloran, Danan and Azar fields to the 3100 liquefied gas and gas plant.

According to ICOFC, Peyman Imani, the company's director of engineering and construction, said: "The pipe is a seamless type and suitable for sour liquids, which is produced for the first time in the country with a diameter of 16 inches according to international standards.”

He stated that 20 kilometers of the pipes with the required technical specifications had been produced by the domestic manufacturer so far, adding: “With the construction of this pipeline, 153 million cubic feet of sour gas will be supplied from Dehloran, Danan and Azar fields to the 3100 gas and liquefied gas plant in Cheshmeh Khosh.”

He said $25 million would be preserved by locally forging the pipes, adding, "Within the framework of our plans, it is predicted that with the production of another 38 km of required pipes, this project will be fully implemented by March."
