Iran Monomer Styrene Producer Breaks Non-Stop Operations Record

TEHRAN (Shana) -- Pars Petrochemical Company has broken a new record by operating 470 days non-stop, producing monomer styrene.

The plant supplied 4.252 million tons of items during the previous Iranian calendar year of 1398 which was tantamount to its production capacity.

Last year, the company also supplied 1,472,073 tons of ethane, 814,676 tons of propane, 526,728 tons of butane, 105,878 tons of gasoline, 681,489 tons of ethylbenzene, 631,241 tons of monomer styrene, 20,242 tons of benzene/toluene mixture.

Globally, similar plants have operated at 83% of their nameplate capacity last year.
