According to RIPI, Ezatollah Kazemzadeh, head of the upstream faculty of the institute, stated that the achievements include a micro-CHP device as well as two new generations of drilling fluids.
He said presentation of the institute’s latest achievements would be instrumental in finding solutions to the challenges the industry faces besides saving costs of operations while generating jobs.
The official further said that RIPI would seek presentation of the latest technological developments at the exhibit in various scientific spheres in oil industry.
Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) serves as the technological arm of the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum.
Micro combined heat and power or micro-CHP or mCHP is an extension of the idea of cogeneration to the single/multi family home or small office building in the range of up to 50 kW.
In geotechnical engineering, drilling fluid, also called drilling mud, is used to aid the drilling of boreholes into the earth. Often used while drilling oil and natural gas wells and on exploration drilling rigs, drilling fluids are also used for much simpler boreholes, such as water wells.
