The plant’s feedstock is expected to reach 400,000 barrels/day once the first three phases enhance their production capacity, said Mohammad Ali Dadvar.
Initially, phase IV was decided to be developed for processing 120,000 b/d of gas condensate but because of changes in planning it will supply sweet naphtha.
The processing capacity of each phase of the refinery is planned to increase from currently 120,000 b/d to 180,000 b/d of gas condensate; therefore the initial output of the fourth phase will be supplied by the first three phases.
“By boosting refining capacity of the phases and saving nearly €80 million in investment, the plant can consume up to 400,000 b/d of gas condensate,” he added.
Dadvar added that in April, the plant supplies sweet naphtha for the first time in the country by up to 20,000 b/d.
He also stated that the plant’s petrol output would reach 47 million liters per day and its gasoil production would reach 13 million liters per day by next week.
The naphtha can be consumed as petrochemical feedstock.
